Game Development Guides and Resources for Those Who Need It

it works unlike godot physics

jolt is thread safe

just open htop
im not using something that might cause issues with people trying to open my game if they need to go and download external files for it or if it wont pack properly into 1 executable file

I understand you're hurting and going through a rough time in your life so I won't hold any of this against you.
quite fascinating how you have absolutely nothing to say except for "blah blah princessparkles" because you know you lost the raycast debate

Let it all out, I'm here to listen.

BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP
there i let it all out. does that smell good to you?

it doesn't work

i use it, it's fine, it improves performance greatly and i havent encountered any issues people say there are

the be all end all of this discussion is that i will continue to use godot and you can't convince me otherwise
unreal is the most poorly optimized engine ever with unrealistically high requirements to even develop on and run with a focus on games with graphical fidelity that i dont care about and a lack of linux support

unity has shitty pricing schemes and is owned by a shitty company, uses c# to code which i personally dislike and think is cancer and everything is objects instead of nodes

godot is a node based game engine that runs well, very flexible, can be used to do a lot of different things and is completely free and open source.
the only downsides of it are that a few things are broken which is to be expected regardless and there aren't any quick and easy solutions, you can't "just fix it" because fixing takes time and you can't "just use unity" because then you have to figure out native linux support, general performance concerns and the companies greedy pricing that is if you ever intend on selling your game

to me, i rarely work with physics and godot can do pretty much 99% of what unity can do, that is practically, not literally, for example, spas's game could easily be recreated and remade in godot if i was passionate enough about ongezellig.

all i see this as is people hating godot for no good reason and once again, people enjoying their hobby as complainfaggots and fun ruiners who say you can't enjoy anything for whatever shitty reason.

and for the performancetards pretty much every game i've ever made runs on the lowest hardware possible
i played a 3d game at one point that ran perfectly fine on a fucking chromebook in a web browser
so honestly if performance is such an issue you can talk to me about it as long as its not a 1 - 10 ms difference.

i am not shilling jewnity or unreal
godot cultists shill it and overhype while a lot of stuff is broken

define lowest hardware possible

99% of everything i use godot for just works so i have no complaints
hopefully the people that do have complaints, complain because they use the engine and it has some issues they want fixed (like blargis), but some are just complainfags who don't want the engine fixed and seek quick solutions instead of potentially helping out the community and fixing those issues for the godot engine, as it is open source and a collaborative project, which is why jolt physics is good as it could help to improve godot physics whereas incessantly complaining, bitching and whining about how you can't figure out how to make 1 raycast and that's why you moved to unity, is not.
