Game Development Guides and Resources for Those Who Need It

Godot and Unity are both for shitskins and Unity is also for cucks.
White man builds his own engine.
no one really care doe
I just use Gamemaker + Pre-made template just because how easy it is.

figured the "schoolocaust" gave it away
I'll be honest, performance wise, it runs like shit and stutters. Do I consider that your fault? No. Unity was never the best thing for performance either, it runs okay enough I suppose. Still interesting atleast.
See that's exactly what I'm saying, it ran fine in the editor, it runs fine enough in the browser ON MY END, but different machines simply fucking vary, that's why I'm obsessed with culling inefficiencies. Also you can press f for framerate and tell me when it dips
Also it IS my fault for it running like shit, it's a product pushed by me after all
what are you supposed to do, just kill everyone?

Theres no issues framerate wise, it just appears to stutter everytime you walk. Not too noticable or anything but I dislike it. But throughout our discussion I'm genuinely surprised that this is the game you couldn't get to work flawlessly with Godot. It's not demanding at all and is extremely simple. I could make something like this very easily.

It's not that I "couldn't" make it, I simply canned the engine before a serious attempt
And yes, I also noticed what you're talking about, the seeming stuttering, it actually drove me fucking crazy while I was exporting an executable of it because I just couldn't figure out what the fuck was going on, and I haven't noticed it before so I thought I was going crazy, I even downloaded some shitty video player for it's ability to go frame by frame just to analyze the distance walked between frames, it's so fucking weird I got no idea what's wrong with it, I also can't seem to reliably replicate it, sometimes it's smooth sometimes it's less than smooth, it even persisted in a desktop version so it's evidently not a framerate issue. I'm booting up unity as we speak just to try looking for what's causing the problem, AGAIN. And it's just subtle enough for me to constantly second guess myself.

If you ultimately fell back to unity I genuinely wonder why you even attempted to use Godot in the first place? If you have prior experience in another engine, ofcourse you will hate Godot because you're a Unity fanboy, not that it makes me superior because I'm a Godot fanboy who moved from GameMaker. Personally, just looking at this game, I already have the knowledge to replicate it or something similar, but you don't have to worry, I won't do something as idiotic as replicate someone's entire project in a different engine just to prove them wrong that Godot is not at all a subpar engine and can do everything Unity can do, and then some, out of idiotic spite or something like that. That would just be completely ridiculous. But still, seeing this game pretty much solidifies my opinion that ofcourse it can easily be done in Godot too, but you just dislike Godot, with a passion, even though this hatred for the engine is... lets be fair, completely irrational.

But ofcourse le jew is defending le big company.

I'm fucking beat, like magic the issue seems to elude me the more I attempt to analyze it (or my eyes are just getting used to it) I can't keep looking into this shit my head is spinning, I need to go to bed. My best guess is the fact that for some reason the rigid body was set to interpolate (I'm pretty sure it shouldn't by default and I Was just fucking with it and forgot to reset it), I disabled it but as I said the hardly replicable subtle visual anomaly is eluding me so I don't fucking know

Because muh 0 shekels were at risk of being taxed o algo

no balls

so I have permission to do so? are you explicitly giving me permission to recreate your entire game, rip all of the assets purely from audio recordings and redraw all of the sprites and remake the game in a different engine?

Imitation IS the highest form of flattery, after all. However I wasn't the only person involved so I can't quite "give you permission"

godot bros?

what is nanite, why should i care and also juan is right i dont like huge disk space usage on shit things
i mean he is right tbh and godot isn't a high high graphics engine like unreal or whatever. even then i don't play or make unreal games anyways because of how poorly unoptimized it was
i actually tried unreal at college once and it was pretty much a piece of shit, took up so much ram just to do extremely simple things, the blueprint system is extremely complicated as fuck for no reason and if you want to actually code you have to do it in like fucking C or C++ or some shit. best of all, every nigger ever uses these super high res 100k textures for no reason that dont even look good that take up like 10 gigs. some poor nigger who's project i was looking at was like 50 gigabytes for a shitty walking sim geg whereas my godot project im comparison to his was like 500 mb geg

gdscript is shit and slow

the point of nanite is that you don't have to make 5 different models for LOD

then why does godot have broken global illumination?

gdscript is shit and slow
i use it all the time, it's fine.

LOD shouldnt matter that much depending on what kind of game you're playing anyways, for most of my games I've never even had to dive into LOD at all.
then why does godot have broken global illumination?
idek what that is

most people who hate godot probably dont even use it and aren't up to date with everything they fixed, spas didn't even realize they had sprite clip masks because he used an ancient version of godot and called it quits
