@SmallAnus
Turns out l4d dhooks doesn't work on the stable version of sourcemod but only on linux because... trust the science
Also abm doesn't work on linux because it doesn't
And the left 4 toolz linux build doesn't work on linux because uh
m it just does okay
(all 3 mods work perfectly fine on windows geeeeeg)
So what you're gonna do is
Delete "/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/addons/sourcemod", "/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/addons/metamod", "/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/addons/metamod.vdf", and "/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/cfg/sourcemod" to undo my previous instructions
<
Download sourcemod dev build:
https://www.sourcemod.net/downloads.php?branch=dev (shitnux version)
Merge "addons" and "cfg" folders with the ones in the "Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/" directory
<
Download metamod dev build (2.0):
https://www.sourcemm.net/downloads.php/?branch=master (pajeetnux version)
Merge "addons" folder with the one in the "Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/" directory
<
Generate a VDF:
https://www.sourcemm.net/vdf (put the game as "Left 4 Dead 2", leave game folder blank)
Delete "metamod.vdf" and "metamod_x64.vdf" from the "Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/addons" directory, replace with the downloaded file
<
Open the "/Left 4 dead 2/left4dead2/addons/sourcemod/configs/admins_simple.ini" file
Find your steam id by putting a link to your steam profile here:
https://steamdb.info/calculator/ (or any other indian steam id finder)
Copy the steam id, paste it at the end of the file, add a space or tab and write "99:z"
You can also comment your name with a double slash
It will look like this:
// RetardedLeetnuxPajeet
STEAM_0:0:694200000 99:z
Save the file
<
Click "Get Plugin" (gives you a "l4dslots.smx" file) and "l4dslots.txt" here:
https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=333092
Put "l4dslots.smx" in "/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/addons/sourcemod/plugins/"
Put "l4dslots.txt" in "/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/addons/sourcemod/gamedata/"
This is an alternative to left 4 toolz that uses neither a .dll or a .so, works on leetnux
<
Open the "\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\cfg\listenserver.cfg" file
Add these commands at the bottom of the file:
sv_maxplayers 16
sv_visiblemaxplayers 16
sv_force_unreserved 1
l4d_survivor_limit 8
l4d_infected_limit 8
l4d_killreservation 1
Save the file
<
Click "Get Plugin" (gives you a "l4d_superversus.smx" file) and "l4d_superversus.txt" here:
https://forums.alliedmods.net/showpost.php?p=2704058&postcount=1285
Put "l4d_superversus.smx" in "/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/addons/sourcemod/plugins/"
Put "l4d_superversus.txt" in "/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/addons/sourcemod/gamedata/"
This is an alternative to abm, it works on leetnux, a bit simpler, also adjusts the difficulty according to the amount of players
<
Download "left4dhooks.zip" from here:
https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=321696
Merge "sourcemod" folder with the one in the ""/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/addons/" directory
Only works with the dev version of sourcemod for no raisin, even doe works with the stable version on windows
Took me only 6 hours to find that out
<
Don't forget to add "-insecure" into launch properties
<
Now launch the game and start a local server.
You're not done yet doe, now a .cfg file is generated, go to "Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/cfg/sourcemod/l4d_superversus.cfg" and here you can adjust the settings
Change l4d_survivor_limit "4" to "8"
Change l4d_infected_limit "4" to "8"
Change l4d_killreservation "0" to "1"
Save the file.
And it should work.
