I can't even tell if this is sarcasm.

Orthodox theology considers racism to be heresy in the official sense, you can't just interpret things your way like this, it simply isn't how Orthodoxy works.

Except the condemnation towards racism did not happen in the modern era. It happened when the race question first came up in 1872, during a dispute between Greeks and Bulgarians. This was condemned in the pan-orthodox synod of Constantinople of 1872. The name given to it was “ethno-phyletism”. The idea of putting nation/race's interests above God. Official statement from the council :
"We renounce, censure and condemn phyletism, that is racial discrimination, ethnic feuds, hatreds and dissensions within the Church of Christ, as contrary to the teaching of the Gospel and the holy canons of our blessed fathers which “support the holy Church and the entire Christian world, embellish it and lead it to divine godliness.”
