Freedom to Sin: The Invisible Shackle

Thanks, man. I think I've seen that Spyridon guy on YouTube before. I'll check out his videos. And, yeah, I was referring to the political leanings, I've specifically seen census statistics before that showed Orthodox Christians in America having the highest support out of all other groups of Christians for leftist causes like the legalization of abortion or support for homosexual rights, so that was my concern. In addition, there's stuff like the pictures I've attached that added to that concern.

Same guy as above picture, BTW:
I'm sure you can understand the issues of such satanic ideologies simply being let into a place of God by corrupted priests, which is what I'm afraid of when it comes to a lot of the churches here in America. Anyway, I'll just have to see where Christ guides me as I continue to learn. Thanks again.
This is disheartening, I wouldn't have expected these depravities to have crept into the American Orthodox Church. I expected the whole BLM thing since it's such a normie issue but not the issue of homosexuality. I tried to find the Church of the guy who's image you sent, "Holy Cross Orthodox Catholic Church" but I only managed to find "Holy Cross Orthodox Church" and I don't see him in the clergy list so I do wonder how legitimate his position is, I've even went on to watch one of his videos and it really doesn't seem like he's an Orthodox Christian at all.
As for people being indifferent about abortion I have somewhat noticed this myself, I don't really see a fiery division here as I do in America where it seems to be one of the most contentious issues, I was appalled to hear my friends hadn't given much thought to it. It's as though the normies are oblivious to it!

The homosexual "priest" guy is from Enid, Oklahoma (I personally know someone from there, which is how I then first heard of this case). I can't speak of his depravities as well as this article I found on him can, so if you would like to know more of this guy, you can look here.

Bogus assertions
Protestantism is nothing more than a butchery of Christianity. It exalts the individual to the level of the Church and replaces established tradition with always faulty personal interpretation. This is why "protestantism" is so fractured and why almost everything aside from the religion's very namesake is up for debate. "cultivating a relationship with God (you didn't even capitalize his name, you shmuck)" is not possible when one rejects all that God has provided us with to glorify him and be glorified in return. Christ came to establish a Church, which he did, and in this Church all of his teachings are infallibly preserved through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The very guidance of the Holy Spirit is what let the Church compile the Bible you fruitlessly try to extrapolate Christianity out of (After you rejected whichever books of it you didn't quite like). The Churches can be as corrupt as the individuals comprising them but the doctrine of the Church remains set in stone and unchanging, something that cannot be said for """protestantism""" which itself is a label for a loosely connected collection of heretics believing in whatever seems right to them, rather than what is right. God has provided us with all we need for salvation, not just the Bible (which alone has led many protestants to a multitude of differing heretical interpretation), he has provided us the Church, the 7 holy mysteries/sacraments, an unbroken chain of monks and priests preserving and dispersing the Church's teachings and wisdom. Christianity isn't a religion of 'everyone for himself, do whatever'. In a sense I would call protestantism a cult, a cult of egoistical hardheadedness, the delusion that one could be wiser than the Church.
The church is pozzed though. This is a pretty bad time in history to trust a longstanding(All of that time to be infiltrated and corrupted) establishment to do the thinking for you.

I never felt like I sensed God's presence even after going to church, praying, and reading the Bible. The more I tried the more frustrated I got and I slowly felt disassociated from my faith. And I don't think nationalism and race theory is compatible with Christian values.

Everyone wants the bible to tickle their ears like the media and nationalist race cucks. Unfortunately for most, the bible spits raw facts that contradict man made wisdom, religion, and retardion. Pride keeps you from having a relationship with Jesus Christ. Nothing more.

Gay pride. White pride. Pride pride pride. All religions and race theories are low IQ psyops that tickle your pride. Nothing new under the sun. Satan fell from pride and he created these cuckcel psyops.

This seems to support my assumption, he seems to be a protestant in everything but name, as in he isn't part of any canonical Orthodox Church but works his own "James Neals’ Holy Cross Orthodox Catholic church". What a shameful reprobate.

And you would rather leave the thinking regarding salvation to yourself? This is what I mean, the exaltation of the self and presumption of sufficient wisdom but perhaps even more so the blatant disregard for what Christ has left us with, his Church, against which "the gates of hell shall not prevail". Some of the people in the Church can be corrupted, even the highest positions aren't immune, but the doctrine stands, it doesn't change. A corrupted person can have "pozzed" political or cultural opinions but that doesn't change the Church. The Church isn't a political institution or a body of activists, it ought be concerned with the teachings of Chirst, not contemporary politics. It isn't the place of the Church to challenge democracy or deny the holocaust or "be based and redpilled" but to guide people to salvation, for which it is the only body adequately equipped to do. If there's anyone I'm going to trust with my thinking in regards to the divine, it will be the people who trust in the thinking of the Church fathers. any other stances seems ridiculous to me.
It's like saying you shouldn't trust the hospital because some of the nurses are retarded, ok well where do I turn to when I break my leg?

No rebuttal award
He never seems to have a rebuttal. He seems to harbor a unique hate for Orthodox Christianity yet all of his attempts to discredit it seem awfully half hearted. It makes you wonder if it's a lack of knowledge, conviction or drive on his part

I'm a Catholic personally, but I have a respect for Orthodox Christianity and your mysticism.

Hahahaha what a typical religious fag response. Mahhhh church fathers tell me what to think. Hahaha. Bible is absolutely clear how salvation is obtained. Literally the only doctrine that has 4 perspectives of the same doctrine. The gospels. But your fake ass needs some douche bags in dresses and faggot pagan hats to tell you how to think? Grow up. Salvation is by faith alone in Jesus Christ. Salvation is a free gift and ts eternal. You can't lose it once you have it. But have fun deepthroating the church fathers larping retardion psyop. Read the bible. No one needs retarded ass pharisees, aka church fathers, to tell them how to be saved.

Aren't you the guy who was bragging about driving around and fucking girls on trampolines? 200 body count? Yeah sorry to say but I do have more faith in the literal fathers of the Church that Christ established than some shmuck. If the Bible is so absolutely clear on how salvation is obtained then why is there so much fracturing? It's almost as if the Bible isn't your personal instruction manual but an actual document written in a historic context that also required historical context and divine guidance to be properly interpreted. Christ didn't leave us with an enigma, he left us with a Church. You think salvation is an iq check for understanding the Bible? How can you trust yourself, evidently corrupted and swayed by the world, to infallibly interpret scripture? What about the illiterate peasants that were the first Christians, were they all "religious fags" because they were a part of the Church rather than a fool in a FFA lobby? What you believe is completely unprecedented and would appall every Christian of the early Church. Salvation is a mystery, it is a gift but it is on us to accept it and embrace it, or conversely, reject it. You preach certainty which only serves to pull people into self satisfaction and laziness. You are a prime example of the blind leading the blind, you take yourself for some enlightened figure, why wouldn't you? Oh how it appeals to your pride to be right, more correct than the fathers of the Church. Not even a hint of reverence when talking about the divine, and why would you? You're obviously fully enlightened and guaranteed salvation, aren't you? No need to walk on eggshells! And what's with the hostility, I believe in Jesus Christ too, does this not also guarantee me the gift of salvation? Am I not in the same boat as you? Or is there something more than faith that is required for salvation, maybe hubris?
It's honestly such a low grade retort on your part I wonder why I even bother responding
