I think Midas curse is one of the worst curses, in the real world.
The ability to turn everything you touch into gold only applies to one's organic integrity, the user of the Midas curse can't touch things into gold through non oneself organic matter like clothes.
A person with the Midas curse can't wear clothes as the fabric will turn to gold and adquire all of the gold's characteristics, making it be just solid instead of moldable like cloth.
A person with the Midas curse also couldn't use any electronic and electric technology like lamps, TVs (and their remotes), smartphones, radio, telephones or computers, as touching them would completely ruin the mechanism inside and will just be an useless golden pile/ingot.
A person with the Midas curse can't even eat nor drink (if liquids are vulnerable to turning into solid gold) as grabbing food will result in the food turning in to gold, making it not edible anymore, and even if someone assists the user to eat by not letting them touch the food, it will be worse as the food will turn into gold as it enters the mouth, just making the user choke and die, even if you pulverize the food, as it enters the stomach, it will turn into gold, poisoning the user immediately, making them have intestinal issues to end defecating gold-stained shit or just die by poison. A person with the Midas curse would either die of starvation, by choking or by poisoning.
Let's ignore that a Midas cursed can't even get fed.
A person with the Midas curse would get kidnapped and probably killed to use their dead body as an infinite gold generator.
