Didn't really do much today, added a Locker 3D model and some camera smoothing.

I did this in kind of a retarded way where I logged the position of the camera with a 2 frame delay and then it follows it when you move.
Planning on making it so you can enter lockers and hide in them ofcourse, also a first person cam mode could be done easily right now. I added the locker mostly so I can get Engel's height and the scaling right, half the height of a locker, so Miss Circle can be bigger than the full height of a locker, etc.

Yeah.
A lot of questions rushed through my head, trying to make it realistic, creating a hostile government that controlled the world, but then you presented the most obvious choice.
Just make the world a fantasy land made of paper, created by an evil person. Explains why police or parents don't help or don't care, it's a Dont Starve esque nightmare in which a sorcerer, as you put it, is in control of this world.
It's hard to fully explain it but I want the main antagonist of the game to have a real version of themselves in which the real version is the creator of the paper world, but the inhabitants of it are not aware. The Paper Domain loops for all eternity, meaning the school nightmare they're in keeps on going on until Engel finds a way to break the cycle.

the running anims are a WIP debug thing.
Well think of it like this, I'm the weird kid in the fanbase, I like FPE for all the wrong reasons.
As for the artstyle? I love it. Idk why you could hate it, its kind of like upscaled pixel art, easy to draw, good outcomes, etc.
