geg these are the goofiest running animations, I'll have to figure out how to make them better somehow. probably go look up some running anims on youtube, or do it with a 3d model and then sketch off of that and attempt to copy it using the 2D skeleton.
i should probably get to making an animation system next so i can have hecking awesome idle animations and also add procedural gore somehow
more of a me diary than for you to see since i keep this kind of stuff in my notes anyways but yeah

- Facial expressions
- Overlaying a paper image over the sprite for the paper effect, outline too perhaps, think I might do that next.
- Gore
- Health
- Crouching and Proning (I might add vents)
- Lockers, planning them to be 3 units high so that Engel is about half width of a locker. They have to be a 3D model though so you can actually get inside of them
- Figuring out that nightmare of an animation tree system that godot has (it is scary)

You can ask questions but this is a very pre-pre-alpha stage so I'll share as much as I want about the development process but ultimately try to keep questions to what I'm gonna do now as it progresses and so on. I'm in a state now where the animations I'm using are practically placeholders and I need to make proper ones that aren't half-baked.
Okay okay, i will ask this:
Will there be cutscenes?
Will this endless cycle truly be endless until you complete the game or is the games playthrough'length pre-set like how FNAF has it's playthrough length pre-set over 5 nights instead of being endless until your fired.
It'll be more like Ultimate Custom Night where once you escape you have to do it over and over again to get more lore snippets, but each "over and over again" wont be so hard because there will be missions like "Take out 10 cameras as fast as possible" or "Take out 10 guards as fast as possible" or something like that. There will be cutscenes but only after completion of a run or perhaps after death on a rare chance. I kind of want cutscenes to be live action for the idea I'm going for, but we're not there yet so I won't worry about it.
