To be a parent means complete and unconditional dedication and devotion to your children. Once you have children you cease to be the primary focus of your life. Your children become the priority at your expense and that isn't something that should be avoided but embraced. Your children are the continuation of you, the carriers of your legacy.

Agreed, if you don't want to fully invest time in raising your offspring and just wanna half-ass it, then maybe don't have kids at all. If that kid ends up being a piece of shit it's on you for not being a part of his/her life and doing your job as a parental figure.
