My windows 10 computer killed itself about a year ago and my new one came with windows eleven, unfortunately.
Don't go for Ubuntu. Canonical's trying to cuck it. I suggest some other distro or something. EndevourOS is a good pick for beginners and you have the AUR. Or you can go with Linux Mint which is the good ol' reliable for any new users
Hmm, I just say ubuntu because when my dad was a linux nut around the turn of the millenia that was his distro of choice, thing is I want something easy because I don't wish to run a console command just to look at the clock or something low level like that, I'll check out mint and endeavor.
You shouldn't need to do terminal commands with Mint or EndeavourOS, but they aren't that hard to learn. Either way I think Endeavour comes with KDE Plasma which looks and feels like Windows by default and you can modify it to be whatever you want with the GUI settings. Mint comes with either Mate or Cinnamon, I forgot

Mint has another distro for ultra low specs btw, cinnamon is for the more normal people with driver support and shit, mate is a more lightweight and direct distro, for those who love customization. The last one is for old PCs with very low specs
The Windows 10 version, Paint 3D, supports PNGs but the application itself is really buggy and tends to break a lot. The Windows 11 version went back to the basics but they added layers and transparent PNG support. It's all I need.
