ignore the guy playing this like a boomer with arthritis or something. The game is super open to modding, I think that is awesome. If I was to make a game, I would make all game information plain file formats like json or png instead of close source binaries. I would want my fans to be able to change the game into whatever they want.

Doom is one of those games you never finish playing, since the "official" story is so short all the content is in mods. And every mod is unique and different. Doom is the only game with replayability, in contrast to other games where that means increased difficulty or a complex system, in Doom you actually get a unique experience each time.

Project brutality is where it's at, with maps of chaos obviously. I used to play that shit in highschool whenever I got the chance, one of my friends even remarked on the fact that I always play the same level (doom 2 map 1 maps of chaos overkill)

I just beat the first episode of Doom 1 a few minutes ago
they released it on xbox and it finally has keyboard/mouse support so i tried it out and like it a lot so far
the maps are like mazes though
