I used to train BBJ and Thai Boxing. I think they are the two most effective... wrestling is good too, most BJJ coaches are retarded MMA fag boys. Thai Boxing is fantastic for self-defense and feigning submission. I never put my hands into fists in a fight until its go time, hands are always up, palms out towards the other person. Chill bro, step back, it's cool bro, step back, always checking your surroundings. Then when he steps in you just throw a nice elbow to the jaw and if need be a knee to the liver or stomach. Not many wanna keep going after that, a good throat punch is always a good option... then you get the fuck out of there because you never wanna be on the ground or fighting in a place you don't know people.
Doesn't matter if you win the first fight when his buddy breaks a bottle over your head from behind or kicks you in the dome while your wrestling on the ground with some retard....

That's essentially what I do, except I don't play the dancing game, I just feint submission and backup while checking my surroundings and when their pride builds and they start stepping into my bubble I strike... plus it gives me a good 30-40 seconds of them hyperventilating / getting angry / yelling while I focus on breathing and control. It's a game of chess, not strength. Street fights rarely end based upon muscle density. Pride is by far the most common reason people lose in a street fight as well.
