Shit No One Cares About The modern sharty's obsession with "ias" is destroying its culture

>Search "IAS" on desuarchive /qa/ ( >Only six results, only ONE of which is related to soyjaks
>This single result is a ghost post from after /qa/ closed

<REDDIT SPACE

OP has a point, nobody was obsessed with NAS/IAS back then like they are now.

The IAS/NAS debate doesn't feel anywhere as prevalent as it was during the doll era albeit. The 'log has had plenty of NAS during the froot era.

I think it always boiled down to, is /soy/ a NAS or IAS board. Pro IAS /soy/ 'teen wanted /soy/ to be IAS only and NAS would be allowed on every other board. Pro NAS /soy/ 'teens want /soy/ to be more of a sfw tranny free zoomerGOD /b/.
this is fucking retarded because /soy/ is the only board anyone uses. Posting soyjaks is fun when you do it on 4chan because 4cuckies will freak out at a soyjak, but everyone being a 'jakker makes the whole ordeal pointless. The "IAS" threads on /soy/ aren't even soyjak threads they're just normal threads but with soyjaks as the OP image (self insert coal).

Delete /soy/, make /qa/ the main board

It is a soyjak imageboard. Although I get your point. I always try to promote altboards and in recent times we've seen the altboards more active than ever. It's the reason why getting /biz/ refugees is so important. If we can move from a single board site to a multiboard site, this issue will be resolved one way or another.

We're not getting /biz/ refugees, sorry to say

Also maybe people would be more inclined to use the other boards if there werent fucking 50 something of them

If Froot somehow propels the sharty into another era as active as the Kuz era, I believe that with the foundation already set in place we will easily have a multiboard site

Agreed, but it worth trying. Again, agreed but every time you try to get rid of inactive boards like /caca/ or /calm/ people freak out.

Kuz was the most experienced imageboard owner and he leveraged the sharty's strengths very well. He was good at getting /soy/ active. We need a different path to get /pol/, /mtv/, and /x/ active. I know this is a troon example but look at 4chan's /a/. It has the utility as a anime containment board an as a place to find lots of people talking about anime. This brings more utility with people doing translations, projects, and dumps. If we had 10 active posters on /mtv/, /pol/, /x/, /sci/, and /int/, they'd all start to snowball. And when they snowball, we can have the userbase to support the meme boards like /sneed/, /calm/, /plier/, /giga/, and etc... Again, this is why he need to try and take advantage of the /biz/ situation. Its about as close to another clean stable as it comes, and when they try looking for somewhere else to post, it would be great if we were the ones to offer them a space. I'd go as far as to say we need to try and force it.

I feel like the reason why /int/ isn`t very active is because it has no real purpose, the booru exists for countrywarring and pol exists for just seeing flags

Regardless, for the sharty to grow you need to look at 8chan or 4chan and see how they succeeded. 4chan grew because it had random boards to become infamous and utility boards to hold people's interest. Then it started growing because it was a large community, and large communities attract people for one reason or another. Who have our /b/, /soy/, we just need our altboards. 8chan became successful because of its innovation over 4chan. We now own viichan (I know kuz bought it and I think we still have it) and we have shit like the wiki, shong and other quirks over 4chan. Again, I think WE need to try and force the altboards more.

Its not dying, look at /soy/'s post count. Its neared 20k yesterday. What we need is more reasons to post on /soy/.

that type of posting is still more in line with the spirit of the kway than the type of "soy posting" (self insert coal) that you're thinking of

Kuz, Angeleno, and some 4cuck code monkey were all joint maintainers of vichan. Kuz and the 4cucker both abandoned vichan really quickly, and now Angeleno is the only maintainer of vichan with some help from the previous maintainer peredora.
Okay, so we basically still own it.

It feels like brainrot. Having roots in qa won't make it better.

If you want to save the 'arty, start posting in the altboard that could have utility. /pol/, /biz/, /sci/, /raid/, etc... Soy has been stagnant user wise since it peaked with kuz. We need to promote other boards.

Honestly this. Why the fuck are sci and x so inactive? They°re 2 of the boards with the most potential
