Autism Sonic the Hedgehog

Holy shit this looks clean as all hell, Christ.

Just finished Rail Canyon. Didn't like the first act as much as Space Colony Ark Act I but I enjoyed some of the interesting paths you could take using Chaos Control like being able to slow down one of the trains so you can jump on it and skip a large portion of the level. Act II is really fucking boring thoughever, it's once again all 2D (which I think will be the case with every level in the game unfortunately) yet it lacks the cool gimmick of being able to fly around with the Doom Wings.

After that I was able to unlock the Doom Blast, which is a pain in the ass to use, I don't get why I need a three button combo just to use it, I feel like just holding the A button and then pressing A or B would be more efficient and then the challenge acts opened up. All of them look boring as hell thoughever.

I did get to see Orbot and Cubot, which was a pleasant surprise. They had trouble building some rocket of sorts, and now I had a reason to give them all those weird nuts and bolts I've been collecting. All in all, I've been enjoying myself so far, but I'm irritated with how the Act 2's of this game are ending up. They feel less like Classic Sonic's levels from Generations, which truly felt like they were integral to game and more like those filler 2D acts from Sonic Colors. Even adding a simple 3D part to each of these Act 2's would make them far more interesting and less monotonous.

i only ever played the 2d stuff but the only 3d sonic games i've ever played was lost world (both version)
also my first sonic game was the sonic 2 port on the 3ds eshop, such a great version of it

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the game but I just cannot get into Shadow Generations at all.
I'm enjoying it, but there's nothing so interesting to the point where I have to drop everything and play it.
If anything, I've played more Sonic Heroes this week then I have SxSG.

Whitehead iOS version better but M2 does great work, they made a great port of Virtua Racing for the Switch a while back
Never played Lost World but the 3DS version looks so so boooring
3ds lost world sucks, especially those special stages where you have to tilt the whole system

If you want shit Special Stages go play the Advance games, I didn't think Lost World 3DS was bad but it's been years since I've played that so take my opinion with a grain of salt

is sonic x shadow generations worth getting? i've played the original but it's been years since i played it. speaking of, i remember having generations on 3ds and i remember having a lot of fun with it, i tried it out again and it felt like a really shit version of the advanced games with some classic sonic gameplay.

I wish I had an autistic interest.
Sonic is on the same level as Mario when it comes to being normie slopper, it's not all autismo, it's never to late to get into Sonic and of-course you'll get confused about everything for about a month but you'll get over it.

Sonic's the sort of franchise you have to get into young to truely get it if that's the correct way to put it, I couldn't imagine being a new fan and joining the rocky road that is this franchise in a year like 2023 or 2024, there's simply too much to learn and understand that it'd leave people's heads spinning (Unintentional joke btw) and that's only if you intend to only understand and play the games from a lore perspective, if you try and join any fan-discussion and be taken seriously you need almost encyclopedic knowledge on writers, artists, their histories before the franchise and everything else that comes from the Sonic franchise being so delicate and fragile to the point where a couple 4/10 games turned it into a public laughing stock for years on the internet.

I suppose the best way to start would either be the IDW comics or the games as that's the basic "starter-pack" for newfags, if you want to be daring read Archie or watch Sonic X alongside IDW and playing the games as those are the only, how could I say "Cared about?" splinters of the franchise as to this day you'll still hear people talk about X and Archie like they're still around just due to the impact they left alone, it's commendable. If you want to go balls-deep, read everything and learn everything, even if it's shit nobody will ever care about. "Sonic's Shoes Blues?" read it. "Sonic the Hedgehog and the Silicon Warriors?" get to reading!

And make sure to have fun if you do decide to get into Sonic. [wholesome]

Sorry, I was just kinda admiring autistic interests for a second. I don't think I could get into this.

No worries, as I said already, it's something that you have to get into young to truly understand the franchise and I suppose get into it as a whole.
If you have autism, it's like a Disney Fast-Pass of sorts where you can get into it any time.
