Do you agree with the rational people of the world on that Sonic Adventure sucks? I don't understand how so many people like that game when Sonic controls terribly in it and he falls through the terrain half the time.
Sonic Adventure 2 is a lack-luster piece of crap that doesn't deserve the praise it's been falsely given.
SA2 has some of the worst controls I've ever seen in a video game, and the levels don't complement those controls at all, instead continuously punishing you for even attempting to play the game like a rational person, I cannot tell you HOW many times I've decided to give SA2 another chance and I can't tell you HOW many times I've dropped it almost immediately after due to the sickening amount of fucking bullshit the game forces through.
I've always considered Adventure 2 to be the "reddit game" of the entire franchise because by God do redditors adore it for no fucking reason other than "muh y2k sovllllll!!!" which isn't even a thing in Adventure 2. In fact, Adventure 2 leans more toward late 90s culture then anything, but hey, don't mind me! I'm just a "90s classicfag" or a "Modern Moran who likes boostshit" or whatever the actual fuck those retards on r/sonicthehedgehog label people as now.
SA2 TL;DR
"Oh, so you like Sonic huh? Well here's three cutscenes that look like shit to give you exposition! Oh, what's that you DON'T like two faggots prancing around a motion capture set that we sold to you as a cutscene? Well here's a ten minute level where you sit inside of a SLOW mecha in a SONIC game. Also here loser, take some slow treasure hunting levels! Oh, what NOW, you wan't Sonic levels? Fine retard, here's some janky dog-shit levels that the janitor probably made in his free time, have fun, there's only like five SONIC levels in the SONIC game so make the most of them! Have fun!"
Sonic Adventure, on the other hand, is one of the most aesthetically pleasing games I've ever played, and it deserves every crumb of praise it receives.
The levels are expansive and solid, the physics are fucking excellent, the plot is gripping, the soundtrack is just amazing, and, most of all, it does not make ME feel like a bitch who's just "along for the ride". When I play Sonic Adventure I feel like I'm actually playing the level and making my own decisions, picking my own routes, getting faster and faster with every completition which is something not alot of Sonic games do anymore and man, it's just a real shame.
I can sit here and suck off Adventure all day and sing its praises but I'm wasting time, just play the game yourself, specifically the steam release with the
BetterSADX patch that reverts all the
Nintendo Shitcube slop that was added.
MAJOR TL;DR
Sonic Adventure is the coolest shit ever.
SA2 is literal feces.
