i do not have a religion but i believe in the existence of a god, just not a specific god.
it is hard to quantify what god is or who it is, if it's even a person at all. i believe that god is an entity without form or gender that decides the actions of our universe similar to DNA but on a much larger scale. i guess that god is the creator of DNA itself. i guess my theism is rooted in science than in moralisticallly preachy beliefs involving fairy tales of the medieval ages.

god is not good or evil, it takes no sides, it cannot discriminate, the actions it chooses to let happen are not of the fault of emotional or logical thinking but are the consequence of a being without consciousness, like a single celled life form or a DNA cell. i think god is very similar, he's one giant nucleus. either that or muh virtual particles just exist... maybe those "virtual particles" are god. some people say humans were created in god's image, but i would go further and say that all living beings on earth were also created in it's image. humans are not the only intelligent lifeforms on earth, the sea has yet to be conquered, so it's unlikely that humans are as good as we think they are.

yes we have large societies and are extremely intelligent, but in the grand scale of things, we're just like ants but bigger.
it's more likely for god to be a lovecraftian creature in my opinion

I don’t know why vague shapes in the sky would mean anything. People find cross shaped cheetos and claim it’s a sign from god. And why would god need to tease us with cloud shapes and cheese instead of giving a clear sign to everyone, and let us decide if we want to follow them?

(Thread derail engaged)
There wouldn't really be a point of faith if god were immediately provable doe, the point of the world (in at least abrahamic religions) is a test of faith, devotion, bravery, etc. I'm Muslim (sunni hanafi) though

I'm indifferent towards religion, I was raised in a secular home and I have too many questions to make sense out of Christianity. I wish I could, though
