I wouldn't be mad if they stayed gone forever. I feel like they are not very useful, and in a few months nobody will even care. This doesn't mean I think that reaction points are bad so to speak, some of the funniest moments on the Schlog have come from someone jartybombing another person! It just means I don't think them being gone would have a *massive* impact.

That's why I added the fact that it was more of a Schlogvil Skrimish more than anything. A full Schlogvil War could have happened if DOLL didn't step in and end it though.

I remember back when Froot fucked up reaction scores, everyone praised him for it, it was hilarious. We had reaction score economy generals, people were trading reaction score and updooting eachother. Having negative 2.147 billion or positive 2.147 billion was no big deal, everyone took it as a joke, your heard earned reactarino score could be removed in like 10 seconds and gained back in 10 seconds. Nobody was obsessed with it, it was all fun and games. But now, everyone is obsessed with it. This website runs on a constant drama fixation and the users here have a really bad sense of ego to the point where it's starting to get toxic. People feel as if they are entitled to be able to spam in certain threads or posts just because they personally deem it to be bad and they also feel entitled to make a silly number on someone's profile go down.

If you were, say, to do the same to them in retaliation, then they get all pissy and everyone gets angry. It turns into literal caveman drama and to make matters worse, jannies practically always play favourites. People got mad at me for reporting and fixing linespam towers the first time and now they're mad at me because I removed their shitty toy again, this time not even on purpose.

The way I see it is that this website isn't exactly heading down a good route, people are starting to care a lot about the wrong things, it's best if you just keep reaction score removed before this devolves further into constant immaturity. People should learn to respect eachother and stop infighting. But for some reason schloggers are starting to crave internal drama. I feel like what people said about namefag drama is kind of true, so we need to try and do our best to mitigate that. We're supposed to be a community, so why are we constantly fighting eachother? Having reaction score only makes us fight against ourselves.

If Reaction Score was wacky and non sensical then nobody would care, but people take it very seriously, almost too seriously, it's a time consuming task just to make a small number go down and everyone treats it like it means nothing when in actuality it really doesn't mean nothing. It is a score designed to inflict drama, designed to inflict tension and rivalry and designed to be unfair. The reactions themselves are fine, but upset the wrong person for whatever reason and they'll go through all of your posts and give them a bad reaction for no reason other than they dislike you.

This takes a long time to do, manually clicking on every single one, even people like Hagon require me to make a button that changes it to dislike to save time. Jannies got mad for suspected "botting" when Hagon was using my plugin to make the process faster. It's honestly best if they removed the system entirely, if someone actually is smart enough to reverse engineer the system o algo, maybe someone actually could make a reaction nuke system that would cause genuine havoc in that regard.

But it wouldn't be havoc if it was just a silly number, but that's not how jannies see it. Jannies see that number going down on Hagon's profile and go "noooo my goon sissy! This absolutely cannot slide!" but I think they might know exactly what would happen if they kept reaction score, so, they have to remove it. If it's just a silly number, you'd let me bomb Hagon, you would let us be obsessed with this stupid number and dedicate hours to making it go down.

We're two human beings wasting so much time on a silly number and that really means nothing? The moment Hagon saw his number go down, it probably made him want to do it even more. I could tell he was getting bored at around 200 or so, but when he started seeing the notifications, he got mad and had to continue. This is supposedly a silly "bald man glasses" forum where we joke about things, but when it comes to fucking Reddit karma, shit's serious and niggers have to spend hours manually clicking on buttons all just to feel better about themselves, me included.

It's not that I don't want shitflinging, but that I personally don't like it and wouldn't engage on it, but if this was my site I would allow it anyways merely because of its character.
I'm mostly in favor of adding things rather than to take them away unless there is a very good reason for doing so, and the reaction score is absolutely useless and inconsequential. It does absolutely no harm, but it does not provide anything either. It does not "reward" anyone who doesn't consider themselves rewarded. If you don't like it then feel free to ignore it.
Regarding respect and empathy, I do not thing anyone is entitled to those things. It's just a fact of life that there are people who understand you and respect you and people who don't. Just act accordingly depending on who you're interacting with.
You are not entitled to anyone's respect for the things you chose to do voluntarily, and people are not entitled to your charity either.

I have listed a few reasons as to why it's bad, it causes shitflinging and unnecessary drama, it instills a sense of ego and superiority in certain users, it creates a toxic environment and a circlejerk. We're not Reddit, we shouldn't aspire to be Reddit. I doubt anyone can give an actual good reason as to why we need Reaction Score other than to admit that they just want constant infighting and namefag drama on the website.
