It is equally frustrating to me with the misuse of words in that manner. I'm not advocating for that, I have the same values as you guys, or some of you atleast. Free speech should be allowed, but I don't see what a shitty gamified point system has to do with any of it. I personally would like a little respect and some comradery, it really isn't so much so ask for, but I haven't really gotten that so far. I don't really have much in terms of socialization, we're different you and I. I have a best friend of 8 years on the internet, that's practically all I know. I can't just walk outside and make friends, I suck at socializing and I quite frankly fucking hate people.

Regarding respect and empathy, I do not think anyone is entitled to those things. It's just a fact of life that there are people who understand you and respect you and people who don't. Just act accordingly depending on who you're interacting with.
You are not entitled to anyone's respect for the things you chose to do voluntarily, and people are not entitled to your charity either.

If it's harmless then there is no reason to take it away. It's not like it's costing anyone money or resources and it's not intrusive or detrimental to the overall posting experience either.

I just hate how a lot of people are extremely inconsiderate on the internet, even towards the end of my friendship with my best friend, he was unable to grasp how I truly felt or apologize for anything, he was unable to be considerate. I managed to do someone a favour, not exactly a long time friend, but they were close to him, and I managed to be considerate to them for once. They appreciated that, so it seems to be a common trend. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but people's utter incapacity to be serious sometimes is not a good quality to have.

If all people on the internet are like this, then I'm fucked.
The only thing I can do is try and see if I can atleast make an impact on the world even it's extremely small, otherwise there's no reason to live at all, everyone just wants to use you for personal gain.

If Reaction Score was wacky and non sensical then nobody would care, but people take it very seriously, almost too seriously, it's a time consuming task just to make a small number go down and everyone treats it like it means nothing when in actuality it really doesn't mean nothing. It is a score designed to inflict drama, designed to inflict tension and rivalry and designed to be unfair. The reactions themselves are fine, but upset the wrong person for whatever reason and they'll go through all of your posts and give them a bad reaction for no reason other than they dislike you.

This takes a long time to do, manually clicking on every single one, even people like Hagon require me to make a button that changes it to dislike to save time. Jannies got mad for suspected "botting" when Hagon was using my plugin to make the process faster. It's honestly best if they removed the system entirely, if someone actually is smart enough to reverse engineer the system o algo, maybe someone actually could make a reaction nuke system that would cause genuine havoc in that regard.

But it wouldn't be havoc if it was just a silly number, but that's not how jannies see it. Jannies see that number going down on Hagon's profile and go "noooo my goon sissy! This absolutely cannot slide!" but I think they might know exactly what would happen if they kept reaction score, so, they have to remove it. If it's just a silly number, you'd let me bomb Hagon, you would let us be obsessed with this stupid number and dedicate hours to making it go down.

We're two human beings wasting so much time on a silly number and that really means nothing? The moment Hagon saw his number go down, it probably made him want to do it even more. I could tell he was getting bored at around 200 or so, but when he started seeing the notifications, he got mad and had to continue. This is supposedly a silly "bald man glasses" forum where we joke about things, but when it comes to fucking Reddit karma, shit's serious and niggers have to spend hours manually clicking on buttons all just to feel better about themselves, me included.
