My machete broke, so i had to bust out this gift-shop sword i bought when i was 14.

guinea fowl are even better in my opinion, but can work together.

My dad just randomly found some guineas for sale and we bought them. Any other basic advice you can give for raising them?

I'm guessing they are within 2 weeks old based on who's selling. They aren't home yet, so I'm just assuming they are chicks.
My chicken coop is insulated, i plan to run electricity to it for heating in the winter.
Free-Range is an issue, since my dogs still seem too "excited" by my birds. I'm worried that if i tried free-ranging, my dog could wipe half of my flock before i could even notice. I'm hoping to free range, but that depends on how well i can train my dogs.
Since my birds would be sleeping up in the trees by time coyotes came out, i think my own dogs going outside during the day is a bigger threat.

Do they sleep in the coop or the trees. They'll freeze in the winter if they sleep in the trees. I would buy some chicken chicks that are a little older than the guinea to raise together or the guineas will grow up and fight with the chickens.

Might be too big. You want the chickens just a week or two older. Guinea Fowl are very very fragile when they are young so keep a good eye on them. Usually the moms hatch out 30-40 eggs and only a few make it. So be a good mama GF.

Yeah I think they are the white ones... but they will still have spots and streaks. They might be the super light violet colored ones. Tons of different kinds of guineas lol. They are from Africa, even have some crazy blue ones. Always wanted Ostriches and Guinea together on my farm.

They are like a thousand bucks a pop..

This scar is from last fall. I used my swords to cut weeds, and i tried to do that "x-slice" thing, but cut my hand. I could see my muscles, my skin was flapping, and i had to drive 20 minutes to the nearest hospital.
The larp life chose me, and it hit like a brick.

I got a new dog recently, but have been putting off posting about it cause I've been lazy.

About 2 days after we got her, my step-mom went out of state and came back with two basset hound puppies...

I'm kind of annoyed because the first dog is a rescue and very timid, so i think we should have worked on getting her used to the house before bringing in two puppies. They like eachother albeit, so maybe the puppies will help the shelter dog socialize or something.
I'll try to get better pictures of the pups, they're spazzing out atm

They're getting along really well!
The vet said the corgi is perfectly healthy besides being under-weight, but she's eating and there's nothing keeping her from gaining weight, so she should fatten up pretty quick.
