That's neat. I don't have the space for waterfowl but always wanted to try them
This is my first go with them. Im working in getting a better pool or even a full pond for them, but they seem happy.
I love bringing out the hose, they'll all run across the yard and start dancing in the "rain" and drinking the water while i spray them.
Oh, and my goose likes to jump in the pool and do like 10 laps around it in a few seconds. Nigga is nuts

i have a garden lol, we grow a lot of flowers but also mixed in w some herbs like lavender, rosemary, mint and some odd tomatoes and spring onions etc
I also have some herbs scattered around my yard. Basil, sage, rosemary, shit like that.
I also go around my yard looking for plants like yarrow and mullein to harvest and dry. I get a lot of shit naturally growing around my yard, i love it!

Selfish litte carrot putting more energy into its leaves than it's roots because it wants me to starve. Also this is the biggest carrot I've ever grown, despite getting gangraped by all of the tomatoes around it.

Finished up my chicken-coop (gutted mobile home) today. Tomorrow I'll use some jack stands to level it out and work on connecting it to my chicken run. If that is easy enough, I'll start introducing my new flock to the main run.
Haven't done much else, probably got 2 hours of sleeo last night. All month i haven't been able to sleep until like 4-7am, and when i do i sleep about 30-45 minutes at a time and can't go back to bed for a while. Last night when i was trying to sleep around 7am i heard screaming and shit. I'm thinking I'm exhausted enough to actually sleep though, so it's not a big deal.

I'll take pictures of my garden tomorrow, i swear i had some saved.
Growing tomatoes, cucumbers, snap peas, beets, corn, watermelon, squash, carrots, onions, radishes, bunch of leafy greens, and herbs. I'm pretty sure i have some potatoes growing back from last year, but i never got around to planting them
Chud confirmed

Been too lazy to update, but it's raining anyways so:
I got the new coop set up and ready, and my chickens have started checking it out, but won't really hang out in there. I'm going to close their main coop when it stops raining so they start nesting.
I also have to clear this big gravel pile and a ton of weeds to make a walkway.
<shloggy space
Here's my strawberry bush starting new roots, hopefully i can cut it from the vine and grow it on it's own. I'm going to end up putting them in the ground and letting them spread next year i think

Do you prefer ducks or chickens?
Chickens. They're a lot more friendly than the ducks. The ducks waddle away from me, but the chickens will follow me everywhere and jump on my shoulders.
Ducks are definitely still cool though. This goose is starting to piss me off with it's honking, but xhe'll let me pet xer

They all have their place, ducks belong inside a fenced in garden area, they are the patrollers of the garden, eating bugs, slugs, and decay without destroying. Muscovy is the best breed by far but you have to clip their wings. Chickens are your yard cruisers, compost pile workers, outside the garden area. They will destroy the garden. Geese patrol the yard for hawks and other predators, guinea fowl are even better in my opinion, but can work together. If you have large predators a donkey is your best investment.

If you're a Chud Star you just skip right to Ostriches. Damn good meat and ridable... can kill a lion with a solid kick, like 500-650 kicking foot pounds force.

I have them all closed in right now because of my old dog, but with everything you said, I'm going to end up fencing around the garden for the ducks and leaving the chickens out.
Still planning on getting guinea fowl soon.
Then, it's a toss up between goats or ostriches for my next addition. Ostrich would be nice, but I want goat milk

What are your predators and climate?

What are your predators and climate?
Climate is moderate, but with some rough weeks in winter here and there.
I've got hawks (never been an issue), coyotes, and foxes as predators mainly. My neighbors don't seem to have too many problems with them though.
Other than that, the occasional runaway dog/outdoor cat.
