Sharty jakparty.soy is officially over

I knew the day was going to come eventually, but I'm still a little surprised. I thought the Jarty would exist for another year or two as some sort of zombie.
Kinda did make me think about how the "soysphere" in general has degraded, though. While I'm not a true sharty oldGOD (started using it in June 2022) I think I relate to a lot of the people who are.
I rarely post on /soy/ anymore since it's just a wasteland of 'cord memes and spam. OC production has essentially grinded to a halt at this point and the stuff that does get posted ends up with 0 replies.
Everything must come to an end eventually. We're not there yet, but we're definitely in the twilight era.
It's rough.

Soyjaks were getting old anyways. What comes next will be better and fresher. It wont be gigachan btw

True, and it's impressive that they lasted as long as they did. I think the first one was made in late 2017 but I might be wrong.
A lot has changed in nearly 7 years.

I have said this exact thing about the jarty for ages and Lute continued to use le freedom as an excuse to be a spineless lightweight and let his site become the sharty's septic tank. The little culture it had already ceased to be over a year ago, from then on it was a hub for sharty degens to post without ridicule and by gossiping contrarians. The worst part is, the contrarians were right, but they did nothing about it and they had nothing in common other than hating the sharty, thus having no common goal to work towards. Any community that's only united by what they hate will fail.
