currently george floyd.exe development wont begin anytime soon but im thinking up ideas. im struggling between making a serious game and a non serious game.
due to it's nature the game should be shitposty but i don't really know enough about george floyd creepypastas to make something that people will enjoy, it just feels like i'm going to appropriate the culture and piss off people by not including as many sharty references as possible or whatever, but my main idea as of right now is this:
the game will begin with a shitty purposefully poorly made fakeout game titled "GEORGEFLOYD.EXE" which will be a parody of a real george floyd creepypasta or something, and then, when that's over, the game will cut to a dark room. You wake up as a police officer, with your hands cuffed in chains, the game plays a distorted song as it zooms away from a television screen which was playing the creepypasta, and you are put into the POV of the police officer. Then, the real title of the game appears:
"Fentanyl Feverdreams"
George Floyd enters the room in a grotesque muscular form and informs you that he's going to rape you and then murder you, but before he does that, he'd like to get high and go get fentanyl. When he leaves, the game basically becomes Resident Evil 7 and you have to uncuff yourself and find videotapes around Floyd's Manor to progress the story. The tapes will have the shitposty unserious elements from creepypastas, like games where you collect pregnant belly pics in the woods to parody slender or george floyd robbing innocent pregnant women to parody sonic.exe, but outside of the videotapes is a disturbing horror game with a genuine commentary of the undeserved martyrship of George Floyd and his crimes and how genuinely disgusting it is for him to be compared to the likes of Martin Luther King when he was a good for nothing nigger and a drug addict.
The game ends when you watch all the tapes and find a shotgun which you use to attempt to kill george, but it doesn't work, so instead, you lure him out to a chalk circle in the forest, where you chant something and then george beckons to the floor, saying that he can't breathe. You kneel on his neck, ridding the world of him once and for all, and then, once he is gone, you see yourself in chains once again, as you awaken back in his basement, only to find that this time, his basement is your jail cell.
I don't exactly know too much about the situation, but I feel like this would be really cool, to be shitposty but also comment on the situation that chauvin was just a fall guy, someone to pin the blame on, but ultimately I'm not sure if that would do any justice considering that Chauvin isn't exactly a saint and he has been known for misconduct for quite a while apparently. Maybe it might be best to have Chauvin be the main character but paint him in not the best light, as "The Niggerhunter" for example and the only reason why he is scared of George is because he's the only nigger he hasn't been able to kill and maybe in this universe, racism from police officers is not only tolerated but encouraged. Perhaps killing George inacts the Curse of George Floyd, where the mainstream media suddenly becomes le woke and then all of the sudden people start caring about black people out of the blue to the point where police can't be racist. Police still are racist though, now they just have to pretend like they're not racist, so all of Chauvin's racist police buddies gang up on him and still use him as the fall guy.
I think I'd go for the niggerhunter route, I don't want to give Chauvin any sense of sympathy and it's supposed to be a shitpost game, but I want there to be some elements of seriousness to create engaging and immersive atmosphere, is that too much though? Should it just be completely non serious? I'm kind of bad at doing that to be honest... but I can try. I like putting copious amounts of effort into everything I do and make and "GEORGEFLOYD.EXE" is something I can see as being a memey passion project based off of real George Floyd Creepypastas and also my very own George Floyd Creepypasta where Chauvin, the niggerhunter, is captured by floyd, ready to be raped, only for Chauvin to go all Resident Evil protagonist on his ass and defeat him. I wouldn't mind making something offensive, as long as it's just not like objectively incorrect, coming to the conclusion that Chauvin is a complete victim is an ignorant take, so it's best to be comical about it and make Chauvin and the police in general in this universe, very stereotypically racist, and make black people, very stereotypically scary and evil and love chicken watamelon etc.
Because it is a parody game, after all, a satire. The only seriousness I want in it is for the player to feel scared while exploring Floyd's Manor and thus in order to do that, I must put them in the shoes of a defenseless police officer. This kind of thing would almost be similar to me making a game about Ruby Ridge but making them out to be the good guys, which is also a funny idea.
