Do you feel anything when reading a fiction book?

Hey 'teens... I was reading Hyperion, a sci fi set far in the future, when a short story about a colonial world was told. The people have been isolated from the rest of humanity for thousands of years, and adapted to the ecosystem rather then mold it. Until their world was destroyed and converted due to greed and tourism. Really made me sad reading about the dying sentient whales.

I feel sleepy, yes. Non-fiction is gemmier

I'm too lazy to read. I got a history book 4 months ago and am still like 40 pages into it

I do, I need to read more fiction

I have a dumb ww2 conspiracy theory book I never finished and I got it for my birthday about 5 or 6 years ago

No, and back when I was in high school I just read nonfiction books even when fiction ones were required by the teacher. I just don't care about things that aren't real, unless it's about alternate history or sum shiet.

Fiction is fun though. Don't you watch TV or movies too?

It depends on what kind of fiction you like and on the book itself. I remember my grandmother told me she tried to read dune but couldn't handle it because it was a slog to read.

Yeah I don't really like science fiction.
