The average IQ of autists is 2 standard deviations below the mean, and highly intelligent people are usually prosocial. The reason geniuses tend to have autistic traits is because genius isn't just about intelligence, it's about disposition. Autists are willing to be obsessed with something and willing to go against the consensus on it

P.S. I say all of this as someone who scores above average on "autism tests" always. I have many child symptoms of autism -- I was picky about the food I ate and the clothes I wore as a child. I am introverted and loveshy. I have a long history of hyperfixations. I "stim". I know people diagnosed with autism who I am quite confident are less autistic than me. I'm not autistic. None of this has made me incapable of living a normal life -- what has made me incapable of living a normal life is believing heterodox things.

I think people can just act weird, especially in the years where these doctors often diagnose these "mental illnesses", but I don't think that it's an actual thing.

Preferably I see no reason as to why labels that categorize differences in behavioural patterns shouldn't exist, but ultimately, this topic is not about the idea that autism isn't real and people are just faking it but rather that autism is real and what that means is that someone is just neurodivergent, but ultimately it is not a mental disorder, instead psychiatrists have labeled it as such to attempt to get money off of attempting to cure neurodivergence.
