Danke schรถn.
I find it odd that most scholars rate Lincoln as being one of the best presidents that the United States ever had, even when considering the fact that he violated the First Amendment on many ocasions - he often threw people who defended the cause of the Confederacy into jail, despite the fact that the Con. defends free speech in any way shape or form (that is why Nazism is still somewhat present in right-wing groups in the US), and most of the times these journalists/whatever never got fair trials and were just kept there until the war ended.
Lincoln also caused unnecessary bloodshed. The only reason he was kept in power is the fact that he advocated for the abolishment of slavery, something that WOULD (do not debate me on this, it would absolutely happen) happen on its own course without any intervention. But no, he decides to send hundreds of thousands of young men into an uncertain war filled with new technologies that could kill you faster than any other thing that had been present until that time. He somehow managed to get reelected in the middle of the war, during its worst time, when he was losing the war on all fronts (it was probably corruption btw). tl;dr there was absolutely no need to start the Civil War, he should have kept slavery until it was deemed unnecessary OR have it diminished gradually through minimal laws. It was already defunct on the North of the USA, where industrialization had affected all corners of society; the South would also be inevitably industrialized with or without the war, ultimately diminishing slavery's purpose in that area.
I don't think he deserved to be murdered in cold blooded but he had it coming. He ruined the lives of many after the war, what with the destruction of countless cities and the death of young folk.
PREDICTION:
Trump will win. (by way of Pennsylvania, probably through smaller cities and not Philly itself) If he SOMEHOW doesn't win, then it's because Kamala rigged the election. No claim to back this up, just feels true.
