The war veterans who haven't been physically jacked up beyond recognition or have been fucked mentally beyond recovery and the ones who came out in almost one piece, but ended up as drinkers or addicts of some kind.
The 1% who come out almost fully intact both physically and mentally and skipped addiction are not only more of a man than Zelenskyy could ever hope or wish to be, but they will be the future leaders of Ukraine and will lead the country into a golden age with a prosperous future because they know the difference, they know what it's like to be in the down and out and have seen it all firsthand, this is where they will derive their empathy and compassion for humanity, something of which Zelenskyy lacks and could give less of a shit about.
