I like the idea of being in the army or marine corps but there's such a high chance of just being instantly blown up from miles away that it'd probably just suck. So i'd probably go with the air force (fighter pilot, specifically) since i'd bet dog fights are pretty fun, if those even happen anymore.

what is the air-force even for? i feel like planes have been overshadowed by just regular ground missiles and most land-based units would probably have some heat-seeking missiles to just shoot down the planes.

The air force singlehandedly crippled the entire country and destroyed vital infrastructure, making it harder for the Iraqis to defend. I'd want to do the most I can to defeat the enemy, so if I were an officer I would work on a submarine or as logistics for an aircraft carrier, or if I'm really dedicated I'd try my hand at becoming a B-21 pilot, but if I were an enlisted man I would be a marine food service specialist
