Write a story about Root, a rookie in the criminal world who suddenly and mistakenly gets put at the top of a big organisation without any experience, his fight for survival, and how his struggle ultimately fails as he swims as a fish eaten in a den of shark.

Write how he tries to meet the quotas of his boss while maintaining order in the lower ranks of thugs who mock him for his inexperience and therefore try their best to dethrone him.

He tries to fake his death, to come back under a different name without ever showing his face but that fails too, until he finally breaks down and kills himself, only to get replaced by his boss without a thought for him.
