Would you never eat again if you could

If you had the option to never eat again (but you magically get all the nutrients you would have gotten if you did eat), would you take it?

I would because eating is really time consuming. Not only does eating itself take like an hour a day, but when you account for time spend buying groceries, cooking, and washing dishes, it’s a real time drain. Not to mention it’s super expensive - food and cooking equipment aren’t cheap. Plus food is bad for your teeth

I actually want to try Soylent. I know it's complete nonsense but I just wanna try it

You can still cook you just aren’t allowed to eat or taste anything you make
I'd feel miserable wtf it_hurts

I think there's cultural reasons behind it though.
I remember some finns coming here in france for their missionary education. They could not understand how we could spend an entire christmas at table, eating and talking together for hours on end.

Like eating and dining has become in french culture the main event to socialize and talk together, and that's the reason why french people don't eat much at breakfast but a lot more at dinner time and souper lunch, because we have more time to eat and talk.

Apparently we spend 2 hours and 13 minutes per day at the table, on average.

But also like wtf eating good food is just the best, cooking and then eating delicious food is one of those things that brightens my day tbh

Aren't you German or whatever

Half-german, my mother decided to migrate to Paris for studies, where she met my father, who's only half french himself, half italian.
Europe is a mess.

Happy I was born in france doe german culture is weird and their food sucks imo, apart from like the bavarian cuisine which has some great sausages, beer and sauerkraut.

But even there I wouldn't chose not to eat again, like you're depriving yourself of one of the most fun essential activities of the human being besides sleeping

German food is ass but the pastries are good THOUGH

The Christstollen for example, very easy to make, and very good.

In comparison, macarons take literally hours to make, for small bites, but damn is it good.
