Old existing splinters like the shemmy and zarty, even jarty before litapedos colonized it were fine. But every new splinter either dies or becomes a pedo safe haven. Why is this?

splinters are made to offer something that their parent imageboard does not
sharty was made as a place for 'teens to congregate with fewer troons than /qa/, and got popular after clean stable when all the /qa/teens needed a new home
jarty was made for sootists who didn't like the way kuz was running the site
zarty was made after froot removed /zellig/ after the 50 board plan (speaking of the zarty, it'll probably shut down in a month or so because zoot only bought the domain for a year)
nusplinters (e.g. the shoally) are made because of muh rulecucking, but the thing is that most people who complain about "rulecucking" are pedophiles upset they can't post 'lita on the sharty
