I don't get why H&K sells their bizarre, aborted versions of their military MPs und ARs (SL8, SP5, USC). Isn't it easier to just remove their full-auto ability, or is there some kind of retarded law on foreign exports relating Evropean guns?

It's not very obvious if you're not a gun autist but it's portrayed as being able to fire twice at the same time. This would need two barrels, however Valve uses the tube magazine as an additional barrel (the SPAS only has one barrel.) also the shells are ejected automatically after firing. You would need to pump the shotgun to actually eject the used shells.

HL2 beta was supposed to include all types of guns... They removed it cuz some dumb german ESL leaked it or however the FBI arrest goes. It would've been cool to see the insurgents use AKs and MP5Ks doe.

True, HL1's weapon selection was much more diverse and cool, same thing with Opposing Force (albeit i still love the AR2 Pulse Rifle)

Quite literally yes. Nearly all magazines (except gravity-assisted ones like ze one ze Owen Gun uses) have springs that help the shells, bullets or whatever the slugs are stay in line.
