The distro I use (Debian, stable) isn't really that bad, but I hate that I'm unable to run some more niche software because it's only on Windows. Wine doesn't seem to work for everything.
If I do go back to Windows, it's going to be the LTSC (Long Term Servicing Channel) version. This is basically just Windows 10 but without a lot of the bloat and it's also going to be supported until 2031. I've used it before and it was pretty good.
The only issue I have with Windows is that the computer I'm going to buy only has 8GB of soldered RAM. I don't play games on my computer (have an Xbox for that) however modern software just seems to be getting more and more bloated. I feel like Linux would handle that better.
