Being a hedonist is fine as long as it is coherent with your world view.

If you think there is no such thing as a sin, like a laveyan satanist does, or if you think that indulging in earthly pleasures is a good thing as pagans do, then you are being coherent with yourself, nothing wrong.

But if you believe sin is bad, or the physical world and thus desires of the flesh are bad, then you are being an incoherent faggot, and live in denial of your incoherency.

Self-fullfilling prophecy. Don't ever say that you can't improve.
You will never be perfect and you have to live with that, sure. But you can at least try every day to better yourself, even if it is just by the tiniest amount, and even if you fall back. That's repentence.
And maybe, in 2, 5 or 10 years, at least you'll be in a better spot than now.

SRYK. Why are you arguing for hedonism when your belief system factors in christian-like morality?

Hedonism is believing that self indulgence and self pleasure is above all things, however this means that you only chase short term pleasure, which doesn't truly give you pleasure throughout your entire life. At least that's how I view it, because we all chase pleasure. Abandoning long term gains in turn for short term pleasure is a ticket to depression

I'm not arguing for hedonism, I'm arguing for coherency of actions and beliefs. If your philosophical or religious belief is that it's morally good to be hedonistic, then you are coherent, if not you are a hypocrit.

Now is hedonism good or bad ? Bad I'd say, but that's a more complex debate.

Hedonism says that the pursuit of happiness and pleasure is the biggest aim of the human species but everyone that I've met who believes in it has depression for some reason geg.
While pleasure itself is not LE BAD but the act of constantly pursuing pleasure causes more annoyance than it does happiness.
