There are many more interesting things to do in the day than debate over which 16 year old should get banned today for saying something retarded. By reporting something, you are forcing janny to look at it and render a judgement. Sometimes that janny is me, and the reaction to drama can easily enflame it and make it the central topic of discussion across the website. Drama is not what brings me to forums; casual chat with strangers over niche topics is what draws me here. If I am spending every day putting out a fire or correcting janny, it draws my attention away from the reason why I am here to begin with. Sadly there is not a janny which has asked to take the position of mod-team manager so it still falls to me to make the ultimate decision on most drama. Those of you observant on party history will note that this is what brought about "Red" and the controversy that followed, so I try to keep that in mind when we pick new head-jannys.
