I myself am not entirely for the current administration(even before he really became unpopular, I used to make a fuck ton of posts about how he was datamining us and is an offsiter[geg]).

I have directly unbanned people he has had banned for complaining about him(a Kiwishart user by the name of yazrii) so do know that this site isn't Froot owned, the entire reason we've allowed dev, Root, and Froot to be admins(only one is le super admin with all the permissions btw) is to form cordiality between the two sites and not be framed as a splinter.

What does that matter? Why form that cordiality if people like Froot will just use their power like a retard, anyway? Why be cordial with retards? Thanks for dealing with that retardation, but you shouldn't have to be doing that in the first place.

To be fair, it was nuanced, many mods were in agreement, since he used discord. However, the only reason, we discovered, was because nudev told him too. Listen, it was a whole thing, and a little incident like that shouldn't lead to us breaking off with our home site. When Kuz was admin, did we back down? Only the Jartycucks and /bant/fags did, and where are they now? They're all outed as pedophiles.

It's just complete cuck mentality, a lot of people on the sharty call this place a splinter and a discord regardless, it's just a total misplacement of priorities. And let's not act like this place isn't separate from the sharty, the only thing keeping people on here from calling this place a splinter is the orwellian rule that forbids it, otherwise everyone else calls this a splinter . And as if that's a bad thing, honestly, are people not allowed to use multiple separate websites? Do we need everything on the internet to be integrated into a superplatform? This isn't even an imageboard, it's a forum, it's not a rival to the sharty. Just a clusterfuck of optics all around.

I guess you're right. Still, I wouldn't say all splinters are destined for turning into a den of pedophilia and degeneracy. The Jarty is moderated specifically by those who won't ban pedophiles, and 4cucks are, well, y'know, the same deal. We are a direct opposite, with perhaps the largest proportion of our banned users being pedophiles. Anyway, I'll say I'd be perfectly fine with us going our own way, if we ever do, but I have to suppose the Shlog administration is wiser than me in how to deal with 'party relations in these sorts of instances.

No, Broot and I have the power to demote everyone else. And I don't see why we shouldn't, Froot and his administration share mutual interests with us and won't harm the site, and their presence is a benefit(experienced server developers, administrative experience[Doll is the better one doe]). You're acting like they're trying to harm this site, the only real change the sharty admins did was make reaction scores useless, and only because Broot and Weeb agreed and made the actual change.

I have seen one(1) post say this, whenever it's mentioned, many casually throw around that they're members, and say it's a good site.

Exactly, it's a separate site, but saying it's a splinter due to it being a separate site is like saying the wiki or the booru is a separate site. BS called. And as a result, we will continue banning advertising of splinters. We are for neutrality, and all splinters integral values is being separate from the sharty, disliking it, and therefore not being neutral, and therefore not being allowed to infest this site.

If you use a splinter, all fine by me. But no advertising.
 
I don't care what people post or do as long as it's not illegal, not pedophilia, and not advertising a discord server. People ask me what to do and I tell them what I'd do but the janny situation here is much more decentralized than on any imageboard I've been part of. I got made super admin less than a month into the site's start and we've been alright. If it were up to me then broot weeb and I would be the only admins because we all use and enjoy the site.

Even if the promotion was symbolic it's still symbolic submission/dick riding. And "home" redirecting to a completely different site rather than the home of the forum? Just seems so off. It rubs me the wrong way that the site is so focused in attaining approval from the frootcord as being "part of the legitimate soysphere" rather than what? Part of the rogue soysphere that the splinters comprise? Just seems like pathetic PR to get us on the vaunted top bar, I was never on chuds.life but I imagine they didn't engage in this kind of optics rigamarole.

I've seen plenty, both on /q/ and when someone links a /soy/ thread "guys theyre talking about us!!!" And I imagine the ones who say it's a good site couldn't care less whether we're le splinter or not.

Fair point but consider the booru and soywiki never had to fend such allegations, it's clear this website specifically is more separated from the core of the "official" soysphere than the rest of it's contingents. As far as I'm concerned this is an unrelated website with soysphere cultural influence, it's much too different in format and content to be called a splinter and much too removed from the core 'jakking experience to be a part/extension of the sharty itself. It's its own thing and I think it ought to be unabashed about itself.

Fair enough but consider a person was banned for liking it in a thread where a person specifically asked where a contingent of the website went. I wouldn't be thrilled by seeing advertising either but it seems the "no advertising" is also used to silence any mention of splinters, and once again this is done because "We ourselves ARE the sharty and therefore it is an attack on US specifically if you link an alternative to the sharty" I find this to be faulty reasoning.
