css is a classic, though it wasn't very popular in the cs community, it still remains a well played game to this day, mostly for surf servers and stuff.
little kids especially in russia are playing css and cs 1.6 pretty much everyday all the time on their laptops and shit.
personally, i miss csgo, but valve is never giving it back, so we have to settle with css, which is a god send if you think about it.
counterstrike on the source engine, an isolated game, one of its kind, source 2 is cancer.
