i think it's best if you just suck it up, trying to enforce a no derailing rule is going to kill the site o algo but like genuinely
because what counts as derailing will be very subjective, conversations in real life can naturally lead to semi related tangents, while not totally related are you right to ban them too?
most of what you believe to be derailing is possibly just an unresolved tangent that could be resolved by (You) actually making a difference and getting people back on topic, but instead you just wanna complain about it. There's also the matter of trolling and baiting which you might aswell ban too if you're going to enforce rules on derailing because le trolling and le baiting is what causes le threads to derail in the first place and before you know it, you'll end up with a soysphere website that dislikes it when you do literally anything soysphere related.

The further you go into this, the more you are turning our site into Discord. I suggest you shut this idea in your head down immediately.
