I think the problem is that people overshare too much, another root of it is the fact that you just had to share it to other people in the first place, of which I presume is the want to get comforted, of which is a really bad choice if you consider imageboard dwellers as "friends" you can share that info to
I really can't write my thoughts cohesively at the moment but I think it's just really bad if you share too much and expect other people to care about it the same way you do
Like yeah the respectful thing to do is to say something along the lines of "Oh, my condolences, I hope you're doing well " which isn't really the expected response considering where you're posting it, obviously the guy is probably in a bad state of mind since he's posting it there, but I said my piece
