Meta Sharty was never really about OC

OC is great, that's not my contention. Rather, it is that OC isn't the beating heart of the sharty. The OC itself cannot sustain the sharty. The sharty's beating heart is it's userbase, the website itself. It's the users that make funny remarks, witty responses, amusing greentexts, interesting raids, force fun shit and events, etc. This is the beating heart of the sharty. And this is what inspires OC. It's this atmosphere that is foundational to the sharty. It is these small gems present in everyday posts and replies that IS the sharty.
That's why I think, when people say the sharty is dying, they mean this beating heart is starting to have a stroke. No amount of "just make gems, bro" is going to fix a failing heart. No amount of OC is going to revive what used to be the soul of the sharty. Nothing one can do is going to return the critical mass of funny retards that kept the website entertaining and sovlfull.

>>the sharty isn't dying because people still make gemmy OC

I know it was that on paper, but in practice it was /qa/ after the board got locked on 4cuck. Thats why I hate when people try to curate NAS out of the site, because agreeing with you, dragging what was an amazing site down into being r/soyjaks but you can be a chud makes it garbage. Soyjaks are good like your favorite food is good. You can eat your favorite food a lot and be fine, but if you have your favorite food every single meal with nothing else, its going to get boring first, and eventually you may even grow to dislike it. Same with jaks, a healthy part of your diet but not sustainable to be the only thing you eat. You need to enrich the soyjaks by mixing them with other things.
I feel like this could've all been avoided if soot wasn't retarded and tried to push the IAS only thing. Then the seniority arguement for IAS only would be powerless and NAS may have lacked the stigma it has today.
Yeah, exactly. It would've been better if it had been offsite /qa/ from the start

I was tired of Reddit moderation and wanted a freeer alternative.
Actually before the sharty I did make some posts on 4chan but I didn't like it that much.
