Why is making friends and just generally using the internet for artificial social interaction seen as so bad? I can understand that it’s not as good as real life socializing but it doesn’t seem that much worse. I certainly don’t think it’s a bad thing.

I made some good friends in my 15s, but they either grew up horribly into manchildren, just ended up having completely different interests as I did, or just never grew up as a whole.
It's the kind of person I still have in contacts but don't go out of my way to talk to
