Is Extremadura's just the flag of the FSA in the Syrian Civil War or is there a difference that isn't shown here? The colors are all the same, and the star, unless this one just has an individual star and the FSA's had multiple.

Most of them were influenced by the 2nd Spanish republic which is often associated with socialism nowadays, and also the flag of the province of Castile during the Republic was a purple background with a read star in the middle, with the castle inside the star, so it was copied over the rest of the socialist seperatist flags
