I'm not an artist in any way but my guess is that it looks so god-awful because it's been mindlessly designed in a way that doesn't allow for even the slightest of genuine flaws or bad features. They forget that real people aren't perfect, and that in some cases flaws on an otherwise attractive person can be brushed aside or even thought of as positively if it allows them to meet some "aesthetic" standard. The picrew shit is literal troonslop in that it only allows people to make processed, watered-down, artificial imitations of human beings.
I don't know if what I said was coherent though, it's probably my ZOG pills

Pretty much, i'd say its accurate to most common drawfags. Only limited to one type of character, and almost no experimentation, which is what i mostly mean by "safe".
Even when trying to make it only have perfect traits theres always the underlying ugliness, even when they try to make subversive art with "things that do not fit societal standards of beauty" and all that shit theres still a lot of blandness and lack of individuality in em.
 
They didnt have beards also im 6'1 200lbs and both my eyes are green and blue at the same time not just one color per eye
