Discussion Opinions on Tiktok possibly being banned in the US?

TikToc is only getting banned because it is competing against American companies. The national security angle is retarded. I never used the app and I never want to, but the government shouldn't dictate who can use it even if it makes people more retarded.

I remember seeing a tweet about a bunch of people calling their congressperson to not ban the app saying that they spend all day on the app.

TSMT people dont understand this opens the door to more sites getting banned, If this goes into full swing the internet and its culture will be permanently ruined and sanitized

It doesn't matter if it ruins "internet culture" (which in TikTok's case is little girl prositution and shoplifting), the app was purposefully created to subvert the USA's actual culture. Research what its algorithm is designed to recommend in China vs. the west. If you've been paying attention it's clear chinks are hellbent on psyoping the west, they even make their children read The Art Of War in schools.

Tik Tok is a data collection software for the Chinese intelligence services, that is only why the Western intelligence services want to ban them, only because they want people to use their own intelligence software and not those of other geopolitically enemy powers.

I don't live in China and I don't imagine they would do anything to me unless I was in some exceptional circumstance. I would rather they have my data then some western government because they have less ability/will to act on it.
 
The real hidden strength behind tiktok: it is banned in india for being a ching chong app.

Everywhere else on the internet you have rajamamahibibad doing the needful for open bobs and vagene. You can't make a woman take her clothes off and dance if there is an indian person watching, it is a law of physics.
