I will fight for /anthro/
One of my favourite servers to play on in all of Minecraft was ofcourse, Mineplex. There were other great servers too like Hypixel and The Hive but Mineplex was always my go to.
Now it is a little ironic that instead of playing the actual game, I used Minecraft as a vehicle to play minigames, but I personally don't see that as a bad thing because those minigames perfectly encapsulated what the game was, stuff like the hunger games, bedwars, skywars, turf wars, kitpvp etc are all games in my mind that could only exist within Minecraft and make sense. My favourite gamemodes on Mineplex were Turf Wars, which was a game where you and an enemy team fight eachother for territorial control, if you lose all your territory, then you lose. And Super Paintball, a paintball game inside of Minecraft where you could revive your friends using splash potions to wipe all the paint off of you. And also, Dragon Escape, which is kind of like Deathrun but a giant dragon is chasing you and destroying everything in it's path. There was also another good game called "Evolution" which was very similar to gun game, but you're all these different kinds of mobs with special abilities. I could go on and on about some of the great minigames, but all of them became forgotten and abandoned as Mineplex slowly started to decline and decline over the years and the games there became unplayable.
What was once a vibrant server where you could do all sorts of things and partake in special holiday themed events and unlock cool mounts and stuff became a husk of it's former self and essentially a glorified chatroom place where users came to reminisce about the good old days of Mineplex, whilst waiting 9000 hours to get into a game because the system was broken.
Fortunately, Mineplex was announced to be coming back, however, we have heard nothing more after a few months. It's been 4 months since the last update and I'm beginning to think the new Mineplex might be a scam, because of all the preorders for "ingame credits" and "Founders rank" that they promise they will give you once the server opens... which will likely be never. Mineplex is pretty much just gone now, their source code was up for a time and you could host your own Mineplex instance for a while, but now it's all just completely gone... this is the best video I could find explaining the situation. Fuck Samito.
all that is left of Mineplex is a bunch of YouTube videos. And a bunch of cool videos at that. Here are some of my favourite few.

I remember watching this one family friend of mine play Mineplex on his iMac and I thought it was the coolest shit ever, especially Super Craft Bros. Unfortunately I never got to play much of it afterwards as my parents wouldn't buy me Java Minecraft, so I had to download some shitty pirated version that didn't even work on multiplayer servers

The curse of being a Minecraft YouTuber is often being outed as a pedophile but I find that the YouTubers I watched were never going to be outed because they were good people who grew up to have kids. DanTDM has kids, PewDiePie has kids, Stampy... I think he has kids? Or not? Squid has kids too I think. But Lee was exposed and I've always coped with it, I've always wanted to believe that Lee was innocent and the accusations were wrong because I grew up with his character, but unfortunately, it was all true...
Luckily Stampy handled it really well, albeitthough kind of poorly, just explained that Lee had to leave and stop being Stampy's helper. It was the saddest thing to ever happen. I loved Lee, I can't believe he let us all down like that. But atleast Stampy was just trying to protect us, I guess. Probably one of the only responsible people who realize their audience is full of minors and just want to make them happy and avoid controversy. Cucks like Dream aren't very responsible like that these days, everyone seems to love controversy.

the thing is that dream's primary audience was and still is hormonal teenagers who draw obscene stuff related to him and his friends, stampy and other classic minecraft youtubers are more like tweens and younger kids.

mineplex omg ur so real - i played eggwars and dragon escape one but i was ass at it . turf wars i was also bad at it ngl.. but now it’s died out its so sad. hypixel i only ever used for bedwars - i tried their skyblock but it had too many things and i just revert to original skyblock.
