Is music addiction real and can it be as bad as porn addiction?

Recently I started thinking about how much time I spend listening to music, which is almost always. I listen to it at work, commuting to/from work and when I'm home I put on my wireless headphones and listen to music the whole day. Only time I'm not listening to it, is when I go to bed, but even then I sometimes have to put on headphones because there is a nigger screaming outside at 4 am for the 5212121th time this week.
I never tried to stop before, so idk if I'd have a withdrawal.

So is there a thing like music addiction? When I google it, everyone says there isn't and that you're stupid for thinking there is one, but you also get the same results when you ask if porn addiction is real.

Yes its real, Im addicted to music, although luckily not to porn. Porn leads to pedophilia and other degeneracy, etc.

Definitely not as bad, there's hardly any brain chemicals involved, but I still think it's bad. It's devalues the music, makes it less special. Try enjoying the silence every once in a while.

With pornography, the response does not diminish,
That's not true. Porn, like music, revolves around novelty. Porn causes more dopamine release, yes, but the principle is the same. Otherwise, people wouldn't be trying to find newer and more stimulating content, instantly forgetting the vids and pics that moment ago excited them more than real people.

I love music. I don't think you can get addicted to it but it's way easier to listen to music instead of doing other important things so I think it's just a default state for chronic procrastinators.

i mean i guess it can be addictive, i love music and have been listening my whole life but there have been times where ive gone 2 weeks without listening to music
so yeah it can be an addiction but is it really harmful?
