Newfag so no1curr but I think the best way of doing things is to raise the limit to 18+ and not bother with verification (but keep the hard ban on nsfw). All it'd do is filter out the obviously retarded gagas. If you're like sixteen and can act normally enough to trick people into thinking you're an adult, then it doesn't matter as long as people aren't trading dick pics or something.

ok, then how do we know that he is lying? what if he hides it? my whole point is its retarded to make users verify or put in there age cuz the one it would be hard and a datamine that feds could use as a way to know and spy on users irl; and the other would be totally useless and retarded. instead what if we just ban users if they post here openly saying that there under 16 and instead of permabans why not just ban them until they turn 16? also they say that they are 16 or over when they register an account here so we already technically have a "verify" system but it is also useless and stupid and doesn't work so we need to find something else ig

Just have the rule in place and ban people if they are underage, it's really that simple. Just assume everyone is an adult automatically until proven otherwise.
