I grew up in Canada so I'm used to the cold, my father (who lives in China 50% of the time) wears jackets everywhere. This is vancouver so it's not really that cold anyways, however from personal experience people just wear thick jackets in Whitehorse and there's some people who are probably accustomed to the cold there and wear less thick clothing

Whitehorse is really nice especially at night
