I don't have proof, but I can tell you stories.
I was pretty active on the very first Soybooru, which was made using The Booru Project. Eventually it got spammed with 'p and as a result taken down since I don't think there were any active moderation. I used to upload 'jaks there and try to tag things properly. I introduced the whole idea of tagging images by variant, which at the time I called "type"(examples: "type:_classic", "type:_wholesome"). My memory is a bit hazy, but I remember that Feraljak didn't really have a name at the time and his origin was unknown, he was just the eat ze bugs one, so I had to come up with my own name to start tagging. I was considering calling him Bugsjak or Crazedjak or even YWETBjak, but in the end decided to go with Feraljak. Source: dude trust me.

I remember that, you only tagged him as "feral" and he had no "feraljak" tag, I added the "-jak" suffix at some point later.

I dipped around the time sharty was being spammed with deformedjaks, so I didn't keep up with any of the successor boorus. But looking at the current one, there's too much deformed shit. And slopjaks are like deformedjaks, but somehow even worse. They don't have much value in my eyes. IMHO the first booru was the best booru, it was much more "clean" looking and there weren't any namefag wars. The image board software that the old booru used to have has NO approval period, images appear in main search the moment you upload them, and with that in tow it still wasn't spammed with that much low-effort slop, which is pretty telling of how different things are. But whatever, no point in oldfag circlejerking, what's gone is gone. There are still gems sometimes, even if it takes going through 100 slopjaks to find one.

Old Booru sounds gemmy, but it also sounds like it wouldn't last long especally in modern times.
I love slopjaks, but i feel the only reason slopjaks are still popular is becuase everyone is trying to one-up each other to make the most disgusting, vantablack, horrifying brimmy slopjak of them all. Slopjaks aren't even insulting. Despite this i 100% belive that slopjaks are still GEMS, My personal favorite meme is FNF pedo nigger!
