They try to make them look human but its impossible to replicate on an artificial being, its always uncanny and doesn't look correct which makes it ugly and creepy.

tsmt if the designs instead embraced the fact they are a robot and stopped trying to make a perfect replica of a human, they would look much better and less creepy
