around some time in 2023 he became a meme with people overlaying a greenscreen of idksterling yapping over a random video, mocking his content style
he did not like this, and this leads to an entire force of "opps/allies", opps being those who make shitposts using him, and allies who make quality content of him (or act against opps)
especially in 2024, opps have started overlaying sterling on random people in funny videos using viggleai, which of course, sterling especially doesnt like
